Performance Evaluations

These observation-based examinations can be used to diagnose a potential concern or evaluate performance issues.

Lameness exams are generally performed when a horse is “limping” or “off” which can be defined visually (as seen on the ground) or felt by the rider

Performance exams are recommended for horses in moderate to heavy work year-round. These are “check points” to ensure any potential threats to performance are managed and treated early on.
